Two months into running my own boutique & and am blown away by the support and the success I have had so far. I am still adjusting to the lower, more affordable price points and monthly sales amounts being lower than when I was with a direct sales company. But when I look at things from a different perspective, I can see that no only do I have many new customers, but I am offering more affordable clothing and slowly I am building my customer base. I am proud of the customer service I am providing, and the quality of clothing I have been able to bring to my customers.
I have also learned a ton in the first 2 months running my boutique, one being that not everyone is going to love what I love and that is totally okay! Also, I need to continually grow my social media presence with daily interaction and posts. I am still learning instagram and hoping over time I can build that following at a faster rate. Ideas and suggestions are welcome!
I have also been preparing myself for the slow J months, so this month June and next month July are notoriously slow for retail. I have been focusing my weekly business plans to bringing in new customers versus sales. I also spent a week at the Atlanta Market shopping for Fall looks and I am really excited about some of the things I have coming. Everything right now is in preparation for a large Fall rollout, from growing my group and my business page following to rolling out items now that will pair nicely with some of the Fall items I have coming! I am also spending this time doing some training and leadership type growth so I can continue to bring the best and freshest styles to Kasey Leigh Boutique.
What you can look forward to for Late Summer through Fall is to continue to see affordable pieces that will mix/match items you have in your wardrobe now and items I am releasing through the summer. I also have an exclusive XS-LG line and an exclusive 1x-3x line coming for Fall. Both of these lines are higher end brands that will run slightly higher priced than many of my current styles but are well worth the increased price point and have been carefully curated for you! As we move int o the colder months I will be bringing in plenty of cozy sweaters, hoodies, and ponchos! The holidays are going to include gifts for you and your family like insanely soft and cozy blankets (that aren't $200 like those minky blankets I see all over FB), some other cute gift items, and amazing holiday dresses, tops, and leggings!
I hope you are loving what I have brought in so far, and always feel free to give me feedback and suggestions!!
